Well I am sorry that it has been so long since any updates but we have been one busy family. Christmas was wonderful (despite all the busy time of basketball :)). It started out with a trip to Roberts parents and Paxton and Peyton got to play with their cousins Lily and alayna. They got lots of cloths (very needed for paxton since he is already in 2t or 24 months), books, and a special first big boy tonka truck from his papaw Hammonds. I was so scatter brained getting ready for this trip I packed the camera in the wrong bag :( that being the reason for no pictures. But I will try to gather some together for some latter. We had alot of fun there befor heading home on the 23rd.
We decided last year that we would be home on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so the boys can enjoy all their Santa Stuff. We had so much fun Christmas eve. We made snack food and just ate till we were ready to pop! Thanks to our friends Rob and Nat Pax and I made a Gingerbread house. It was interesting that was for sure. Paxton seemed to think he should suck the sugar off each gum drop then place it on the house. I thought it turned out perfect and I am having a hard time parting with it haha. We watched the Christmas Story and read THe Polar Express befor Paxton and Peyton had drifted off to dream land so that Santa could come. We were still up when Santa came and he ask Robert if he could put Paxtons work bench together for him since he was so busy. Well good old Dad thought it would take about 20 minutes. Try about 2 hours for it all haha.
Christmas Morning was so fun. We changed diapers up stairs so that everyone would be ready to come down and see all the things santa had brought! Paxton took one look at that work bench and darted right for it. Needless to say the other gifts were on the back burner. It took till 9 that night to get him to open all his other gifts. Peyton was very excited to see that he had been good to and he got several teething toys in his socking from santa and he is putting all of them to good use. He also got some really cool musical toys that he is enjoying. After a late Christmas breakfast we all snugled up watching a Christmas Story for the 3rd time and took a long Christmas nap. I of course had to cut mine a little shorter so that I could get our Christmas meal ready. We have discovered Paxton loves Honey Baked Ham. We had such a good day by 10 we were all drifting off.
On the 27th I loaded up and took the boys to see their Mamaw and Papaw Schweitzer. They had alot of fun. Paxton and Izzy are so funny together and they so drive their mamaw crazy. Paxton got his riding horse from his mamaw and papaw that he had been waiting for. He is so funny bounceing on that thing. They also got to go to church while there. The grandkids also made Mamaw cry when they gave her their present to her. Pictures of them together. You would have thought we gave her a pot of gold. Needless to say my truck was yet again packed full for the trip home.
We are glad to be setteling back into a routine now but we will always cherish the memories we make each and every Christmas. Thank all of you for helping make it so great!
